Harry Clerx, Lead Design Engineer

Position Lead design engineer

Title Bsc. Mech. Eng., Euring

About: Harry studied Mechanical Engineering at the Higher Technical College in Venlo. He started his career at NV Philips in Eindhoven and then worked, among others, at Océ Copiers within the Departments R&D and Service. After being Head Design Centre at a machine factory, he started working for CCM (Centre for Concepts in Mechatronics). There he worked as inventor, designer, head of construction, and project manager of mechatronics projects with a distinct innovative character such as automation of the handling and editing of natural products. During this period, he got involved in some great belt tracking challenges which made him investigating this topic in more depth. This led to the base concept of the Centrack system and to his book "Tracking systems for conveyor belts - Existing systems and new developments", published in 1997 (www.bookconveyorbelttracking.com). He also published multiple articles in Dutch periodic journals such as “De Constructeur”, “Bulk”, “Polytechnisch Tijdschrift”, “De Ingenieur” and “Transport en Opslag”. He is (co)inventor in 41 patent applications. In 1999, he founded CTS Conveyor belt Tracking Systems and continued the development of the Centrack system.
